PHILOSOPHER, POET, DECADENT, FOOL
Notes from the Infragrund
By trade I am a writer, philosopher, mystic, and theologian. While working on my doctorate in Theological and Philosophical Studies in Religion (with all but comprehensive exams and dissertation completed), I am also working on a manuscript I hope to later publish (the original focus of this blog). My studies are focused on the posthuman convergence, post- and anti-capitalism, decoloniality, Death of God theology, queer and trans studies, critical animal studies, re-enchantment, mysticism and the esoteric, heresy, comparative religion, and the Anthropocene.
More about In Good Faith: It is a work of political theology influenced heavily by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, Sylvia Wynter, Rosi Braidotti, Kodwo Eshun, Catherine Keller, Fred Moten, Gloria Anzaldúa, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, Marcella Althaus-Reid, Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza, Thomas J.J. Altizer, Donna Haraway, Friedrich Nietzsche, Baruch Spinoza, Emmanuel Levinas, and Jean-Paul Sartre, amongst others. The book serves as a critique of Western Modernity’s hero figure and hegemonic model of the human, ‘Man’, and his various projects of domination; also offering methods of overcoming this figure’s stranglehold on the planet and its inhabitants, it explores what I call the “apocalyptic moment” (both a crisis and an opportunity) of (de)coloniality within the posthuman convergence.
